Drawing curves with meshes selected

The mesh needs to be corrected too but when I select the mesh, it is impossible to see what is on the mesh because of the highlighted representation of the mesh. I can not scale or move because i can´t see a detail on the highlighted mesh.
Is there a way to change the way it highlights ? You can change the color, yes, but that isn´t helpfull.
