I may be having a complete brainfart, but didn’t we used to be able to double-click a dimension, and get the option to hit the big “A” button and capitalize the text?
If not, can we get that for 7, please?

Save as OBJ missing polygon slider
I was trying to save a Rhino file as an OBJ but am finding the polygon popup slider missing. Is this a bug or what do I need to adjust in the program? Thanks.

Just downloaded Rhino 6 and its not responding
I just bought Rhino 6 for school purposes and after a minute or so after opening the program my screen will flash black for a moment and the program becomes non responsive. The same problem occurs in safe mode. This is very disappointing for me as i have been using Rhino 5 for the past 4 years or so.

Create a round cap with continuous surface geometry
Suppose I wanted to cap the following geometry with a curved surface. Using the Network surface command leaves me with completely uneven geometry which doesn’t match either guide curves. Using the sweep command yields similar results. What is the secret to capping such a surface? Is there something I’m missing here? Is there an easier way to model this surface more effectively?
I’ve attached the test model for the inquiry and am using Rhino 5.

Orient object to cplane
Hello,
Im looking for a solution, i do alot of times, i have to fabricate wooden constructions
and then i have to unfold and rotate every object to de z axis. to prep it for the cnc
but this is very time consuming i can do this by orient3pt but this takes alot of time.
is their a was to do this quicker or is there a plugin i can use.

RebuildCrvNonUniform has different behaviours if works over one curve or several curves... weird!
Hi there folks!
Hi have Rhino 6.29 and I use everyday RebuildCrvNonUniform hundreads of times.
I found that it has different behaviours if selected to rebuild one curve (works as expected) or if I have several curves… sometimes it works well in 2 or 3 selected curves, just as if you do it one by one selected.
Rhino version:
I’ve uploaded a video so it can be easily understood.
I see this as a bug, but maybe there is a workaround… could i do some script to repeat RebuildCrvNonUniform over each of the selected curves?

Render mode grainy and patchy
instead of
Restarting Rhino fixes it. It happens when I run a heavy grasshopper script.

Arctic Display Mode / Ambient Occlusion Issue
Hello, I am running into an issue with ambient occlusion in some of my views. There is a horizontal “band” occurring when I print the layout to an image file. The band is not visible in the layout preview in Rhino, only on the image when it is exported. The band does not seem to correlate with anything in the model, geometry, or clipping planes. I have tried switching between two-point perspective and perspective modes. I have turned on and off the ground plane. I can’t figure it out.
Curious if anybody has run into this or has any thoughts on how to fix it?

Shaded Viewport and Render issues
I feel like it has to do with viewport properties, or something. It was working fine last night I don’t know what happened or what I did differently today. In Render mode the environment doesn’t show up, the ground plane seems corrupt and the metal looks like a flat dull color. In shaded mode my objects are grey no matter what layer its on, please help!.

Problem with AttachGHSdata
I’m making a model of a ship with bulbous bow; as far as I can tell the section lines are fine. The curvy parts are splines and the straight parts are lines, and then connected. When I use AttachGHSdata, with the selection of curves (not shapes or surfaces), some of the curves are not included in the GHS shape, or are included wrong. What are some common mistakes in the lines that could cause that? All my sections are one continuous line and they all have the same direction.

Scripts crowding command line at Rhino startup
Hi All,
I have scripts and tools, many found here on the newsgroup, shared by some of you, many build by Pascal.
And when I start Rhino I usually have to hit ESC a few times since a bunch of scripts of tools that I’ve use endue nagging me at startup.
here’s what I mean, look what happens when I start Rhino:
In this case some of those command line prompts are form scripts that endup being auto-added here:
If I delete them from this list the problem goes away, but the minute I run any of those tools again, then they come back.
IS this cause by the way the scripts where written? I also think that if they are not running at startup then the tools will not work when invoked, and I have to manually drag the script form its folder to Rhino’s window. What’s a good solution for this problem?
Could we have one option that tells Rhino: “when you run all these scripts that you need run at startup, don’t you get needy and don’t you even think about asking for candy at the command line. You just run quietly and be ready to do work”

Rhino v6 Screen Capture Weirdness
Does anyone know why this happens? When I do a screen capture to file, I go check the image and it looks like the camera is cropping through some of the structure ( image 1 ). BUT, in the actual Rhino model, it doesn’t look that way ( image 2 ). The camera lens length is at 20, don’t know if that has anything to do with it. My guess is, it has to do with my graphic card … which I hope isn’t the case. But it might be. I don’t want to just do a screenshot of the in-Rhino view, because it won’t come out as sharp. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Layer state manager not restoring?
Hi everyone!
I am trying to save layer states to use across all my 3D models for asset management. But somehow when I try to restore the layer state it doesn’t work. Is this is a bug? Am I missing a plugin? what is the problem here.
